While setting at our breakfast table I have the pleasure of watching a family of squirrels rummage through the Saint Augustin grass for roots and acorns.
Each year this momma has 4 little ones in the tree outside our kitchen window. We watch her bring them food, hand out discipline, and rescue the one who ventures too far from the nest. I can’t imagine how crowded it is in there with 4 furry half grown babies and mom.
In about two weeks I will go into a vigilant watch of this nest in hopes of capturing pictures of the first ventures of the little ones. Stay tuned.
