Spring is officially here and so is the mating season for the wild turkeys. Each evening we watch 1 -5 mature gobblers strut for a group of 4-15 hens. There was a light misty rain this evening when the group arrived, the hens were purring and clucking and the gobblers were answering with repeated gobbles. The hens purred and ate while the gobblers fanned their tales and drug their wings.
