In the winter at home and in the summer while traveling around the western states I find my self drawn to take photos of birds. Catching site of a bird on a nest tending her young or watching a pair of swallows work together to feed the little ones is as good as going to the movies for me. In sorting through my pictures I find that I have often taken very similar pictures of the same type of birds, guess I really liked them. The following pictures are by no means a work of art and there are some that I’ve not identified. Any feed back on identification will be much appreciated.
There is nothing in which the birds differ more from man than the way in which they can build and yet leave a landscape as it was before. ~Robert Lynd, The Blue Lion and Other Essays
